Klei en vuur behoren tot de oudste elementen van de menselijke beschaving.

Al duizenden jaren heeft hun wisselwerking niet alleen de schittering van de keramiekkunst voortgebracht, maar ook ontmoetingen en uitwisselingen tussen mensen over verschillende regio’s bevorderd.

Klei en Vuur is een nieuw opgerichte non-profitorganisatie, ontstaan uit de voortdurende dialoog en wederzijdse inspiratie tussen de rijke keramiektradities van België en China.

Wij zetten ons in om keramiek als medium te gebruiken om een platform voor culturele uitwisseling tussen China en Europa op te bouwen. Via workshops, creatieve kampen, artist-in-residence programma’s, tentoonstellingen en diverse vormen van samenwerking bieden wij makers uit beide regio’s mogelijkheden om elkaar te inspireren, samen te creëren en hun werk te presenteren.

Clay and fire are among the oldest elements of human civilisation.

For thousands of years, their interaction has not only produced the splendour of ceramic art, but also promoted encounters and exchanges between people across different regions.

Clay and Fire is a newly established non-profit organisation, born out of the ongoing dialogue and mutual inspiration between the rich ceramic traditions of Belgium and China.We are committed to using ceramics as a medium to build a platform for cultural exchange between China and Europe. Through workshops, creative camps, artist-in-residence programmes, exhibitions and various forms of collaboration, we offer creators from both regions opportunities to inspire each other, create together and present their work.
